On behalf of the international campaign Freedom for Öcalan, Political Solution to the Kurdish Question, we call on all our friends and comrades to show their solidarity with Rojava. We urge everyone to condemn the attacks carried out by jihadist gangs operating in the name of the Al Sharaa regime, under the leadership of Turkey, as well as the silent complicity of European governments. We call on all people engaged in the struggle for freedom to rise up now and defend the revolution in every way we can. Together, let us take a stand against the policies of war, fascism, and capitalist plunder spreading across the world. Together, let us defend the Rojava Revolution.
On Saturday, the Imrali Delegation visited Kurdish People’s leader Abdullah Öcalan to discuss developments in Syria. The delegation shared that Öcalan is extremely concerned due to the clashes and rising tensions in Syria, and assessed this situation as an attempt to undermine the Peace and Democratic Process. He strongly emphasized that all problems in Syria can and must be resolved solely through dialogue, negotiation, and collective wisdom.
In terms of efforts to find a peaceful resolution this conflict, Öcalan stated that he is ready to fulfill his own responsibility in ensuring that this issue is addressed through dialogue and removed from the ground of conflict. In this regard, he reiterated his call for all actors and parties to play their constructive roles and to act responsibly and with care.
In Syria, we are witnessing the preparations for, and the opening stages of, a broader war against the Rojava Revolution and its principles of women’s liberation, democratic autonomy, and ecology. War crimes, crimes against humanity, and brutal assaults on women’s bodies and autonomy have already been committed. It is crucial that these attacks do not go unanswered. For this reason, we call on all our friends and comrades, all organisations and collectives who have participated in the campaign in recent years, and all democratic, freedom-seeking peoples to:
- Publish statements in solidarity with Rojava, condemning attacks by the Syrian Transitional Government and Turkey
- Organize solidarity actions in their local contexts
- Put pressure on national governments, parliamentary representatives and international institutions to take concrete actions against attacks by the Syrian Transitional Government and Turkey
- Support actions by local Kurdish communities in solidarity with Rojava
