We today would like to share a call for participation in the 2025 “March for Freedom and Democracy”, from the preparatory committee for the Long March:
The crises created by capitalist modernity are dragging humanity closer to its end with each passing day. As the wars waged by hegemonic powers from the Middle East to Asia, from Africa to South America, deepen, the ecological crisis caused by the system’s exploitation and plundering of nature is causing the bells of doom to ring ever louder. Young people, who have the dynamism to create the future, are being used as tools of destruction in a world driven to disaster by the rulers’ lust for power and domination. The capitalist monster, which condemns youth to a futureless existence, paints the illusion that the only way out of this darkness is to live in its service. While condemning us to an even more terrifying apocalypse, they are destroying our tomorrows for the sake of their insatiable greed.
As the capitalist modernity system drags society toward an irreversible abyss, Leader Apo has opened a door of hope with his February 27 “Call for Peace and a Democratic Society.” Leader Apo, who revived the Kurdish existence, has now made a historic call for the future of all peoples to emerge from the seeds of this revival. Undoubtedly, young people, who have always led society throughout the ages, will once again take on the responsibility of social change and transformation.
The capitalist modernity system continously seeks to render young people numb through special warfare methods and the techno-fascist system it has created for this very reason. Caste-based social killers, with their gerontocratic mindset, seek to destroy the dynamic and creative identity of young people and use them as mere tools for their own ends. For this very reason, young people must and will play a leading role in building a new world by organizing a new socialist communal life.
Leader Apo has presented a roadmap for the coexistence of peoples and for humanity to regain its balance with nature through the paradigm of democratic modernity and the democratic society solution to the nation-state. Without Leader Apo’s freedom, neither peace nor democracy can be realized. For this reason, we call on all young people living in Europe to join the “Freedom and Democracy March” for the freedom of Leader Apo. Let us come together as young people in the Long March, starting on September 9 in Cologne, and march toward freedom. With the dynamism of youth, let us close the chapter of history that has enslaved humanity for thousands of years and lead the way in opening the chapter of democracy, socialism, and freedom. Let us build the new world together.
Insisting on humanity is insisting on socialism!
