Your effort to put the search for freedom embodied in me on the agenda by taking such a long way, and at the same time your request for a meeting with me, is very meaningful and valuable for me. First of all, I do not see such an effort as a mere individual solidarity or a personal quest for freedom, but as a part of social peace, democratic solution and the will of peoples to live together freely.
I have never considered my personal freedom independent of social freedom. Moreover, I have always argued that individual freedoms cannot find their true meaning in conditions where social freedom is not built. Therefore, I see your step in this direction as a meaningful contribution and a courageous call for the common democratic future of our peoples.
I have been informed about your request for a meeting. I hope that the conditions for such a meeting will be created in the coming period. In this regard, I convey my greetings and respect to everyone who has contributed – not only to me, but to everyone who has contributed to the democratic will of our peoples and their quest for freedom.
We hope to meet face to face in free days, in an environment where a democratic society is being built…
